That's how you can install uploadprogress PECL library

Problem :

I am trying the new Drupal 7 out, and the status report says that my server is capable of displaying file upload progress but does not have the required libraries. I need to install PECL uploadprogress library.

Scratch your head, search, search, search ... Ah ! you found it !

Several months later don't scratch your head again ! Just pick up your notes and see how did you do it before. That's what I am trying to do here. I write some tips for myself as I have a forgetful mind not to keep searching for them again and again.
